Principal's Message

Govt. Degree College, Jourian is a newly established college. In order to accomplish our vision and mission, we are committed to make this institution a centre of excellence in providing quality higher education to the students belonging to remote and border area. We believe that education is an effective medium of social transformation as such we are grooming our students into useful citizens so as to bring about change and progress in the society.

A harmonious blend of excellence arising out of the trinity of head, heart and hands brings about productive results. Higher education gives a person an opportunity to succeed in today’s global economy. It offers progress to a more efficient economy, improvement in people’s lives and contribution to a more stable society.

I am of the opinion that acquiring information is no longer the main focus of education; instead the main aim of education is to build the powers of human mind and spirit. Real education must transform the learners. We believe in providing our students a dynamic learning environment, rich in knowledge and supportive for their physical, mental, social, emotional, vocational and intellectual development.

We are inclusive and celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of every student with our first priority to provide socio-emotional security for their balanced development. We focus on getting to know each student as an individual. This personal approach ensures individual support and access to opportunities that are suited to each student’s interest and potential. An effort is made to develop soft skills that will equip them to manage and lead the varied opportunities and challenges of the society with an added edge.

However, an educational institute cannot exist by itself. Its success is the result of unified efforts of the organization, staff, students and parents. Therefore, let us commit ourselves to the noble task of educating the heart, mind and soul of the students under our family like care.

It is just a humble beginning. We have to continue to move ahead for producing and maintaining the best. We have to grab every opportunity as a chance to grow by equipping with everything we need to achieve excellence. At GDC Jourian we will ensure students get the best start to their future career to become smart asset to family in particular and nation in general.

Our emphasis shall remain to equip the young and budding talent with superior knowledge, quality skill and personal attributes. I hope that the exposure provided in the college will open new vistas for students in future and the knowledge so acquired will help in enhancing the quality of life of the people in the area.
